The PPA18 is an “open cylinder” pneumatic press, meaning the stainless‑steel drum has perforations along its wall to drain must directly through the surface, giving a large drainage area and easy visual inspection. Pressing is performed by a robust food‑grade membrane mounted on one side of the cylinder, inflated with compressed air to gently squeeze the grape mass against the perforated wall.
